Custom Cedar Products is a division of Baxter Day Service Center, Inc. Baxter Day Service Center provides adult development and work activity for adults with mental and physical disabilities in accordance with the Department of Human Services. Custom Cedar provides employment for these adults and a high quality cedar product to customers worldwide. | |
| Custom Cedar Products began operation in November 1991 with one employee and 5 disabled clients making cedar bars, blocks, hookups and sachets from pre-kiln dried cedar. In 1995 we expanded, adding a packing room and woodshop with a 250 square foot kiln. In 1996 another addition was added to the woodshop expanding our facility once again and adding another kiln of 500 square feet. |  |

Today we have a 33,000 square foot woodshop equipped with state of the art machinery. We have the capacity to produce high volume orders to the worldwide market. Past million dollar contracts prove we can fill the needs of today's cedar industry. Today we supply many major companies with our cedar hangers and numerous other cedar products. Our lumber mills in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and Missouri have been harvesting cedar from selected sites on private land for many years. Custom Cedar Products supports selective harvesting practices and only mature trees are harvested, leaving the younger trees to mature and help regenerate the land with more trees. | |
| Custom Cedar Products specializes in the manufacturing of 100% cedar items for your home. We use only aromatic red cedar, which has a mildly pleasing fragrance. Our products are not coated with varnishes or lacquers. After one year, a light sanding with medium sandpaper restores the aromatic properties. |  |
